Community Health Options’ Members over the age of 18 with Type 1 diabetes can get free virtual care, through a new partnership with Blue Circle Health, which offers services including diabetes counseling, help with nutrition and coordination of care.
Community Health Options’ 2025 Wellness Grant cycle is open, with five $10,000 grants available for Maine nonprofit organizations or projects that foster good nutrition, physical activity and healthy habits that reduce the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes and associated complications like heart disease, stroke, vision problems and kidney disease.

Community Health Options is the new administrator for CarePartners, MaineHealth’s program providing free or low-cost healthcare for low-income, uninsured adults. The new partnership allows members of CarePartners to continue to access comprehensive low-cost healthcare through MaineHealth’s network of providers, hospitals, case management and prescription assistance.
